We are honored to welcome Pastor Leon Brooks, III as our keynote speaker.
 

Leon Brooks III has been the Campus Pastor at Houston’s First Baptist Church Downtown for nearly 5 years. He is a native Houstonian and has spent his entire life in the Bayou City. He has served in Pastoral Ministry for over 21 years. It was in 1997 where he trusted Christ on the trip home from a CRU College Conference called Impact in Atlanta, Georgia and his life has never been the same!

Leon studied Journalism at Texas Southern University and completed his undergrad degree at the College of Biblical Studies when he realized the Lord was calling him to ministry.  He also has a Master’s Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary-Houston Campus. He was ordained in November 2007. 
 
Leon has been married to LaShawn Brooks for nearly 25 years. They have 5 children: 3 college students and 2 high schoolers. He is a big Houston sports fan and cheers for all 3 major teams: The Texans, Astros, and Rockets. He is also a huge Steph Curry fan! His hobbies are basketball, reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife and children. 
Pastor Brooks’ message will inspire renewed commitment to the CBS mission: to glorify God by educating and equipping multi-ethnic Christian leaders to impact the world for Christ.
