We are honored to welcome Dr. Elmo Johnson as our keynote speaker. Dr. Elmo Johnson has served more than 35 years as Pastor of Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Houston’s historic Fourth Ward, where he leads community transformation the church and its non-profit arm, UpLift4thWard. He often reflects that his years at the College of Biblical Studies gave him more than an education—they gave him a vision to see his community as a mission field. Today, that vision thrives as his ministry feeds the hungry, mentors youth, supports families, and revitalizes one of Houston’s most storied neighborhoods. Dr. Johnson continues to champion hope, dignity, and spiritual renewal throughout the Fourth Ward.

Dr. Johnson’s message will inspire renewed commitment to the CBS mission: to glorify God by educating and equipping multi-ethnic Christian leaders to impact the world for Christ.
