Staying Safe During the Covid-19 Pandemic

Morning Star Tours will be hosting our Israel tour. A well-respected leader in transformational Israel tours, Morning Star has provided the following information regarding COVID-19. As more information is available, Morning Star will provide CBS with updates. Any updates from Morning Star will be emailed to registrants and can also be found on this page.

Our Israel 2021 tour is still taking place. Morning Star will continue to monitor international travel to ensure that our tour will be safe and uninterrupted. Below are some specific measures that different agencies are taking as tourism is reinstated.


  • Israel has issued the “Purple Standard” for hotels (attached), outlining in detail mandated protocol for them to follow in order to keep guests safe.  Also, here is the link to a short video on Facebook, done by our Israeli partners:
  • Our Israeli partners are in the process of outfitting their buses with a newly designed air purifying system (website: capable of ridding the air of Covid-19 and other viruses. 
  • Israel is planning for enhanced measures to sanitize buses, venues, sites, and even private transportation for guests to/from the airport.
  • The Israeli government is currently in talks regarding their border re-opening sometime this fall.

Airline Industry (please check with each airline for specifics):

  • Requiring facial coverings
  • Implemented new boarding procedures and food service procedures to reduce contact and interaction
  • Using High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters, which generate air as clean as an ICU
  • Enhancing cleaning protocols, such as electrostatic and fogging procedures
