Welcome Dr. Blocker!
Please join the College of Biblical Studies’ students, faculty, staff, Guild and Board of Trustees in extending a warm Texas welcome to our new president, Dr. William “Bill” Blocker. Dr. Blocker brings a wealth of experience to CBS and a vision to lead the college toward the level of excellence and service befitting a mission built upon God’s Word.
“I am passionate about the opportunity to become president of the College of Biblical Studies,” Blocker said. “My years at Moody Bible Institute and pastoring a church in Chicago have been a tremendous blessing to me and my family, and the experiences I have gained there have prepared me well for this new role. I love the rich diversity of the CBS-Houston student body, the high quality faculty and the impact the college’s former students and graduates are having across the entire region.”
Bill and his wife, Zelda, have four grown daughters: Zaneta, Angela, Rebekah and Victoria; and a son, Jeremiah, who plans to attend CBS-Houston.
Dr. Blocker would cherish your prayers as he begins his new role as CBS president, and he looks forward to engaging with our CBS community in the coming weeks.
